Dee's Biography
Dee has been very instrumental in the formation of Rampage with Mike Anthony and Richie P back in 1990. Dee is more commonly referred to as Rampage's Manager and is responsible for the management and development of the business.
Dee was born and brought up in South London where he attended the same school as industry icons such as Jools Holland, Mickey D and Mistri. He attended The University of Hertfordshire (Hatfield Polytechnic), where he graduated with a BSc in Applied Chemistry.
Having graduated, Dee then joined a financial services company and was responsible for setting up branches in London and Northampton, before his career took an unexpected turn into club promotions.
Dee has always had a great love for music and has fond memories of raving at events hosted by the likes of Steve Walsh and Rapattack. This therefore gave him an opportunity to combine two things he enjoys.
Dee and Rampage's blue print was to provide quality urban events, and to push the boundaries that an urban audience was use to. Rampage has achieved vast success being the first black urban promoters to hire the Equinox in Leicester Square, as well as the Ministry of Sound on a Saturday night and the original pioneers of the US R&B club PA format.
In 2001 Dee became Secretary of the British Association of Sound Systems (BASS) and a member of its executive. BASS is responsible for the management and governance of all the sound systems that appear at the Notting Hill Carnival.
Dee believes that Rampage's success has been due to giving the people what is vital and retaining a professional attitude in what they do and most importantly because they enjoy their work!
