Mike Anthony's Biography
Mike Anthony started DJ'ing at the age of 16 doing house parties. At 17 he toured Europe for 3 years turning professional at 18. When he returned to London and joined local pirate radio station LWR. Two years later Rampage was formed in 1990, returning once again to the house party scene. When the houses became too small we took to the clubs from Equinox to Ministry of Sound, Roseberry to SW1, bringing the biggest urban artists to the UK, such as Snoop, Dr Dre, SWV, Dru Hill and Run DMC to name a few. We have also hosted events for Usher, KC and JoJo, Nas, and JayZ. Rampage has now grown into a global brand, and Mike has DJ’ed all over the world.
Mike then went on to co-host a Rampage radio show with Treble T on BBC London. Due to the success of this show Rampage moved to 1Xtra BBC on its launch in 2002, and was the first voice the national audience heard from the station. Rampage (Mike Anthony and Treble T) are still on the station to this very day, hosting a weekly show between 11:00 – 14:00 Monday to Friday.
